Mission Springs Camps & Conference Center seeks to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all of our guests through exceptional retreat and camping experiences.

As a Mission Springs Staff member, you will be serving the guests that come each week to our Conference Center for family retreats, outdoor education, and church groups.

  • Outdoor Education: Naturalist

    The Naturalist team of MSOE is comprised of recent college graduates who are passionate about educating 5th and 6th-grade students about the natural world.

    As one of our team of thirteen naturalists, you will teach public and private middle school classes about ecology, environmental stewardship, and creation care. Naturalists are provided housing in a Christian community in the redwoods, as well as most meals and a weekly wage.

    The Naturalist position is a school-year position and provides housing from Mid-August to Mid-May. All Naturalists must have a B.A. or B.S. – Biology or Education fields preferred but not required.

  • Food Service Team Member

    Position Summary: A Mission Springs Food Service Team Member works in a fun and dynamic environment. They enjoy great perks, including meals. They focus on creating a positive guest experience and contribute to the preparation and setup of meals. Additionally, they ensure food preparation areas are cleaned according to legal and company standards. Effective communication with management regarding ordering needs is essential, and Team Members adhere to the task schedules posted by management on a weekly or monthly basis.

    • Willingness to get ServSafe certified
    • 1+ years of applicable experience preferred
    • Weekend availability required

    Job Type: Part-Time

    Pay: $17:00-$22:00 based on experience

  • Associate Director of Guest Groups

    Position Summary:

    The Mission Springs Associate Director of Guest Groups assumes full responsibility, as
    delegated by the Director of Guest Groups, for the administration and management of guest
    group retreats. This includes but is not limited to: selling, promoting, scheduling, contracting,
    meeting financial goals, coordination of retreats, inter-departmental communication, and
    leadership of the Guest Care Team.

    Job type : Non-Exempt / Full-time / Hourly
    Pay Range: $24 – $28 per hour

    Reports to: Director of Guest Groups

    Qualifications:
    1. Strong commitment to serve Jesus Christ and commitment to advance the mission of Mission
    Springs
    2. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in related field or equivalent experience; minimum 3 years related
    experience.
    3. Proficient technology skills
    4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
    5. Friendly, customer service demeanor
    6. Demonstrated leadership abilities
    7. Must be perceptive, flexible, and a self-starter
    8. Possess a valid CA driver’s license and provide reliable personal transportation to/from work

    General Responsibilities:

    1. Assist the Director of Guest Groups with duties such as but not limited to: securing both new
    and returning groups, strategizing the calendar, contracting, communication with guests, securing
    payments.
    2. Responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of all guest group retreats.
    3. Provide a consistent atmosphere of support, encouragement, accountability, and leadership for
    the Guest Care Team.
    4. Ensure inter-departmental coordination to successfully meet or exceed guest group
    experiences.
    5. Strive to always find ways to improve guest group experiences.
    6. Attend and participate in staff meetings.
    7. Willingness to serve in any capacity needed.
    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
    1. Environment: Indoor and outdoor
    2. Work Hours: Flexible hours as needed to ensure Guest Groups are well cared for, including
    weekdays and weekends. Primary a Tuesday – Saturday work week.
    3. Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting and using a keyboard and screen; moderate
    physical activity including walking, stooping, bending, reaching and carrying objects up to 60
    lbs.

  • Welcome Assistant

    Position Summary:

    The Welcome Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for visitors, guests, and campers at Mission
    Springs. This role provides exceptional customer service by managing incoming calls, welcoming guests,
    addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, assisting with reservations and guest groups, processing payments,
    and coordinating with staff. Additionally, this position supports the Development and Finance departments by
    assisting with donor relations, gift processing, and database management. The ideal candidate will uphold
    Mission Springs’ mission and values while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence at the Welcome
    Center.

    Job type : Full-time
    Pay Range: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

    Customer Service & Hospitality: Warm, outgoing, and friendly demeanor with the ability to remain gracious
    under pressure.

    Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in data entry, calendaring, donor records, and communications.

    Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines efficiently.

    Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with guests, staff, and leadership across departments.

    ▪ Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams) and familiarity with CRM/donor management software.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, guests, and campers at the Welcome Center.

    Answer and direct incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about Mission
    Springs programs and services.

    Maintain a professional, welcoming, well stocked and organized Welcome Center, including retail space.

    Process incoming mail and distribute appropriately.

    Assist Guest Care Team with guest reservations, group bookings, and payment processing, etc.

    Assist Advancement Team with processing incoming donations, database management, letters, receipts, etc

    Contribute in a positive manner to the team culture of Mission Springs Other duties as assigned by supervisor

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
    1. Environment: mostly indoors, occasional outdoors
    2. Work Hours: Typically 8:00am-5:00pm any day of the week
    3. Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting and using a keyboard and screen; moderate physical
    activity including walking, stooping, bending, reaching and carrying objects up to 60 lbs.
