David rejoined the Mission Springs Board in 2021. This is his third term, which includes several years as Chair. David and his family have attended Family Camp since the early nineties and have been leaseholders since 2002. David’s wife, Nancy, attended the very first Frontier Ranch Camp, so the family has a long history with Mission Springs. David is a retired Anthem Health executive and owns a winery in Amador County. Maria joined the Mission Springs Board in 2022, bringing a philanthropic fundraising perspective thanks to her advancement work over the past decade. Maria’s love for Mission Springs began when she was 4 years old, her family are leaseholders dating back to the 1930s. Her childhood memories include picnic lunches at the hollowed tree stump and summer naps on her cabin’s sleeping porch, extending to several summers on “flats staff” and Frontier Ranch staff. Maria considers Mission Springs sacred ground, where her relationship with God is constantly renewed when she crosses the bridge thanks to the majestic beauty of His handiwork. Maria is married to an Ohio native and has three college-aged daughters who’ve all been Frontier Ranch campers; she currently works in Advancement (fundraising!) at The Branson School in Ross, CA.

Gary was a camp counselor for the Northwest YMCA (Cupertino) Christian Camps in high school and college. After college, the Northwest YMCA recruited me to be a professional director. Half my time was spent organizing and directing camping programs, and the other half developing and running the physical education program. Gary has been an attorney for the past 25 years. Among my other clients, Gary represents Mission Springs and Mount Hermon. Both his children attended Mission Springs and became camp counselors.

Greg has been ordained as a Covenant Pastor for 30 years, serving on teams with five churches in 3 conferences. He stepped onto the Mission Springs Board in 2023. Greg’s “Mission Springs” chapters began early with a 5th-grade prayer to receive Jesus on the grass field at Frontier Ranch. Many stories have been written throughout the decades that have followed. From personal retreats to men’s, women’s, youth, children, and families… the conference grounds have become holy grounds for waves of loved ones in Greg’s life and ministry! Greg is honored to join the Board in their calling to help prepare those grounds for God’s stories in generations to come! Greg and his wife Sharon are beginning their 20th year at Rock Harbor Covenant Church, where they are joined by their two sons and their families, as well as Greg’s dad in Rocklin, CA.

After experiencing the beauty and ministry of Mission Springs in various roles dating back to birth, Jenny Cobbley joined the Mission Springs Board in 2024. She participated in youth programs as a child, worked on the grounds and at Frontier Ranch as a high school and college student, and became a leaseholder of family cabins as an adult. Her favorite memories of Mission Springs are walking the mountain with her family, swimming at the pool, and experiencing camp as a camper and an employee at Frontier Ranch. For Jenny, Mission Springs is special because it is one of the “thin places” referenced in the Celtic tradition—one of those places where the line between heaven and earth is more passable, making it easier to connect with God. She believes she can bring some institutional memory of Mission Springs to a board seat, which can be helpful when working with stakeholders and groups connected to the camp. Jenny is married to Michigan native Josh Cobbley and has two daughters, Emerson and Isabelle, who attended and worked at Frontier Ranch. She currently works as an elementary art teacher at Mack Elementary, a private Christian school in Woodinville.
