SALT 2008 is a gathering of high school student leaders whose sole purpose is to serve, learn, and develop character and integrity under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our goal is that each student will be equipped with life-changing leadership skills that will create a deeper commitment to family, community, youth group, and most importantly, Jesus Christ.
Highlights of the weekend will include:
- 4 youth group planning sessions in which you can: develop closeness within your team, build communication skills, brainstorm and prepare for the upcoming year, and find new ways to communicate your passion for Christ
- Opportunities to meet and network with other student leaders
- Leadership and ministry seminars
- A free afternoon to explore the Santa Cruz area with your team

Callippe Preserve Golf Course in Pleasanton, CA
The beautiful and challenging Callippe Preserve Golf Course will be the host for this year's tournament. Callippe Preserve opened in Pleasanton in 2005 and is located only a short drive from San Jose or San Francisco. Callippe is sure to be a unique and memorable course. Designed by Brian Costello, of JMP Golf Design Group, "Callippe Preserve was designed to cater to the wide spectrum of players anticipated to frequent the facility", says Costello. Golf Week's Magazine named Callippe Preserve as the #6 Public Course in all of California and Golf Digest said "Callippe is one of the best new courses to play."
The day starts on Monday, September 29th with registration at 10am. Then it's off to the driving range or one of our two popular pre-tournament contests: the Putting and Chipping Contests. You may again choose from either Best Ball or Scramble scoring formats. Also, you will have the opportunity to win our great hole-in-one contest prizes.
The day will conclude with the Awards Banquet dinner and program in the Vista Restaurant at Callippe.

Not a golfer? That's OK, you can still participate in this important fundraising event by being a tournament sponsor. Each year we seek business, corporate, and individual donations for various sponsorships and in-kind gifts that help underwrite the costs of the tournament which provides additional funds to be directed to the ministry of Mission Springs.
The funds that are raised from this event are used for camp scholarships to our youth programs. We serve approximately 5,700 children, grades 4-9, each year. Mission Springs is a ministry of the Pacific Southwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church, and is a 501(C)(3) organization and your donations are tax deductible.
